Hello everyone

It’s been a long time since I’ve checked in with you.  Our website crashed, but thanks to Gregg Hurson who created it, we’re back online.   We have now lived in Wilmington, NC for more than 10 years.  I guess the biggest change is that I turned 40!  We had an amazing party at Jengo’s Playhouse with the Beehive Blondes DJs.  So Fun !  The saddest change is the passing of my dad, 4 years ago.  It’s still hard to even talk about it.  We remember him always, especially all the good times we had.

Being in Wilmington has given me the amazing opportunity to make new friends and still see friends I’ve already made through my life.  I’m still in a serious relationship with my girlfriend Anna for 7 years.   Of course, I’m still going to Zeno Mountain Farm with my long-time (30+ years) camp family and had an amazing adventure with them at Lake Tahoe!   I’m also still involved with our Wilmington theatre company for adults with disabilities, Theatre for All, and enjoy performing with friends.

I have been to many amazing performances at a very cool place called the Wilson Center.   I recently attended my 8th Mannheim Steamroller Christmas concert and have attended many touring Broadway shows that have performed there.   Speaking of music, I have been playing drums in the Cape Fear Community College jazz ensemble for 18 semesters!   I love learning about the jazz artists that have come before us from our talented teacher, Benny Hill.   My drumming skills have improved greatly through the years. I continue to take lessons with my long-time teacher, Wes Crawford. Drumming gives me a place in the world to show my talent and hopefully play well.

For 3 wonderful years I have worked at a music venue called Live Oak Bank Pavilion as a Guest Ambassador/Greeter.   It is a very fun job and I work with amazing people who I now call my friends.  We have had many top artists perform there and many more to come, I hope.  Last summer Dispatch came to town, and I was so lucky to introduce the band and play percussion with them on one song.  One of the greatest nights ever!!!  Thanks Chad, Brad, Matt, and JR.

Many, many thanks to all my friends who have been by my side during my journey. And remember, if you see me downtown in Wilmington or anywhere else, say hi for a free hug!

Love, Jeremy
